I was working in London, in a stressful and fast paced corporate environment. Reflexology was one of the best ways for me to relax, unwind and restore balance in my body and mind.
Reflexology was also hugely beneficial when I was going through multiple rounds of IVF. I saw many benefits during my pregnancy, especially in terms of relieving symptoms such as nausea, morning sickness, sinus problems, fatigue and back ache.
Following the birth of my son, I made the decision to leave the corporate world and re-train as a Reflexologist. I am now a fully qualified and professional Reflexologist and hold a Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology for Wellbeing.
I trained with the Temple Academy of Reflexology, which is fully affiliated with the Association of Reflexology (AoR).
I am very passionate about sharing the benefits that reflexology has to offer with my clients. I treat both adults and children (see below for more
information on reflexology for children).
I run my reflexology practice from my private residence in Farnham, which has a dedicated and very comfortable treatment room. I am located very close to the centre of Farnham in Surrey and there is ample free off-street parking. Alternatively, I am approximately 7 minutes' walk from Farnham station.
I also see clients from the surrounding areas including Aldershot, Churt, Crondall, Elstead, Farnborough, Frensham, Goldaming, Guildford and Rowledge.
Whether you are new to Reflexology, or have had treatments before, I will take the time to listen to you. Ultimately every client I meet is unique. It is important that I get to know you and understand what you hope to achieve from Reflexology.
The first step is therefore a free 20-30 minute face to face consultation to gather more information about your medical history, general health and well-being. This enables me to develop a treatment plan that is tailored to your needs to ensure the best possible outcome.
After the initial face to face consultation, I will ask you to remove your socks and shoes and get you comfortable in my specialist Reflexology chair. The chair is then fully reclined and a heated blanket is then tucked around you for your full comfort and total relaxation. I will then gently clean your feet with hot towels before starting a relaxation massage sequence to open up your reflexes to prepare your feet for the treatment.
I use my hands to apply pressure to your feet addressing all of your reflexes so that the entire body is treated. Many of my clients find a treatment to be a deeply relaxing experience and will often fall asleep in the reflexology chair.

Reflexology is an ancient manual technique based upon the concept that the entire body is reflected as a system of reflexes on the feet, also the (hands, face and ears).
There are certain points that correspond to the organs, glands and structures of the body. By applying gentle pressure and massage to these points a Reflexologist can stimulate the energy pathways in the body, unblocking any imbalances allowing the energy to flow freely. This can help the body to restore its own healthy balance and build resilience.
Reflexology can be performed on people of all ages, including children and babies and, those receiving end of life care. As a treatment it can be particularly beneficial for long-term and recurring conditions.
A Reflexologist does not claim to diagnose, cure or prescribe. Reflexology should never be considered as an alternative to conventional medicine.
Reflexology has been shown to invoke a deep state of relaxation. This can help to reduce the stress and tension which is part of our busy lifestyles.
Reflexology provides a safe space to reflect on the mind and body. When the body relaxes, it has a positive impact on breathing, which aids circulation, increasing the flow of nutrients, oxygen and energy to different parts of the body. This can also assist in overall detoxification.
Reflexology is a non-invasive complementary touch therapy, that positively benefits the body and mind.
It is a holistic treatment that helps to rebalance the whole person, as well as the client's symptoms. Reflexology provides the body with an opportunity to heal, restore and energise itself.
Reflexology is a holistic approach that can be used for the improvement of general health. A few of the more common conditions that can be supported through Reflexology:
It is usually safe to have Reflexology alongside conventional medicine, but if you are currently having any medical treatment please speak to your GP before booking an appointment.
Reflexology can be carried out on all ages. Reflexology is a very gentle and non-invasive treatment which is effective in supporting a child's total health and well-being. Often children find the treatment deeply relaxing within a safe and nurturing environment. Children usually respond extremely well to Reflexology as they are often more open and responsive than adults, so progress is quicker.
Some of the benefits of Reflexology for children:-
Children will need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian throughout the Reflexology treatment. During the first session, a full consultation is carried out to establish the medical history and health of the child.
How many treatments will I need?
Treatment plans will vary from person to person and will depend upon your presenting conditions and overall health. Some people may respond quickly to Reflexology and some people it may take longer, especially where chronic conditions are present.
Generally, most people will find that a course of 5-6 reflexology sessions will be very beneficial. These tend to be weekly treatments until there is an improvement in symptoms. Then the gap between sessions can be gradually increased to fortnightly then to 4 weekly/monthly to give the body the appropriate time to heal and adjust.
A lot of people will then continue to have monthly or 6 weekly reflexology sessions for ongoing relaxation and maintenance which helps to strengthen the immune system against illness.
One-off reflexology treatments can also be helpful for general relaxation and stress reduction.
What should I wear?
I want you to feel comfortable during a treatment so where possible, wear loose clothing. In particular, a treatment typically will work your foot and lower leg area (up to the knee) so it is important that I can easily access these areas of your body.
Will it hurt?
Reflexology should not hurt. I will apply light to medium pressure when working the reflexes on the feet. If you feel tender, sensitive or crunchy sensations on the feet it can indicate that an area of your body is out of balance. By pressing and massaging these points and working them gently, it can kickstart your body’s natural healing powers.
What happens after a treatment?
After one or two treatments your body may respond in a more noticeable way. Most people experience the following:
However, in some cases, clients may experience a temporary worsening of symptoms, but this is usually transitory and is part of the healing process. This tells us that the body is reacting in a positive way, detoxifying and rebalancing itself.
Some symptoms that clients may experience for a period of around 24 hours can include:
Is there anything I should do following a treatment?
To maximise the effects of the treatment and to aid the healing process, it is important that you drink plenty of water to flush through any toxins and to hydrate your body.
Try and rest and avoid stimulants such as alcohol and caffeine drinks for the rest of the day. Where possible, eat a lighter, healthy meal to avoid overloading your body so it can focus its energy on the healing process.
